Rose gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now on backorder with Verizon for $249.99

For a while now, we've been expecting Verizon to add a new, rose gold color option to its line-up of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 variants, and it seems like that day is now upon us. Starting today, the biggest US carrier will be accepting backorders, with a promise to ship the 5.7-inch phablet by January 30.

Despite its fancy-sounding name, no precious metals have been used in the construction of the rose gold variant of the Note 3, and its price of $249.99 on a two-year contract says as much. If you shy away from commitments, then you can pick up the handset for $649.99. Big Red has also thrown in free shipping with either option for good measure.

This is obviously just another Note 3 color option, meaning that the very same type of hardware has been snugged inside the body. In fact, the only real difference between this and the standard, white-colored option is the recolored frame on the sides of the device, which is now rose. At this point, it doesn't seem like Verizon will be offering the alternative, black/rose gold color combo.
