Quad-core Asus Transformer Prime rages through the benchmarks
The Asus Transformer Prime promises something no other tablet has so far – a quad-core processor. What this means is even more horsepower for handling the most intensive tasks and visual challenges thrown in the way of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip inside. We knew it was powerful, but we didn't know just how much and now we have it.

Not in real-life performance, but in benchmark numbers. The score leaked on popular benchmarking app AnTuTu and easily trumps all other devices on the market including heavyweights like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Now, the actual AnTuTu score stands at around the 10,000 mark for the 1.4GHz Transformer Prime, but reportedly if overclocked to 1.6GHz the slate nears the 13,000 mark barrier. Now, this might not be of much use without optimized software for it, so we're hoping by the time the tablet launches. The Asus Transformer Primer release date is likely to be unveiled at its official announcement on November 9th.
