Poll results: Would you buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 without S Pen?

Poll results: Would you buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 without S Pen?
Samsung itself says that the main feature which differentiates the Galaxy Note 4 (and the older Notes, for that matter) from other high-end handsets is the S Pen stylus - which, on the Note 4, is better than ever. With that in mind, earlier this week we ran a poll asking you if you’d buy a Galaxy Note 4 that didn’t had an S Pen at all.

What’s a Galaxy Note without S Pen? Well, it’s still a super high-end, extra-large handset that packs the latest technology from Samsung in a slim body that’s partially made out of metal. However, the lack of an S Pen would make it a giant Galaxy Alpha, rather than a Note.

Onto the poll’s results: 55.96% of those who voted don’t think that they’d get a Note 4 without S Pen, while 44.04% would still buy one - apparently not seeing the S Pen as a very important feature. Are you surprised by the results? Let us know in the comments!

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is now widely available to buy in the US, as well as in many other markets - although, of course, some customers still have to wait to get their hands on the device.

Would you buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that had no S Pen?

No, probably not

Lame. " 44.04% would still buy one - apparently not seeing the S Pen as a very important feature." That's exactly what I was afraid of. PA to read the result like the devil read the Bible. LOL How TH this that "44.04% would still buy" Note 4 (because even without S Pen is better than the rivals), can be translated to - "apparently not seeing the S Pen as a very important feature."??????? I'm shocked. And at the same time I knew that PA will do it. (Not to mention even, that we know how the iboys were voting on this poll)

Hmmm, the S Pen doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. My main reasons for buying a Note device would be the large, high-resolution display and powerful processor...

If it didnt have the pen it would be slightly smaller which would be a great tradeoff

Pretty good results. It proves that having a pen isn't a requirement for an phablet. Some users care, some don't.

did you look at the results??

Umm...Yes?? It's pretty much cut down the middle. Only 11.92% more users care about the S-Pen.

i voted yes but that doesn't mean i don't care about s pen at all. if i have to choose between a phablet without s pen and other with. i would definitely choose who has the s pen. because have it is way better than not have it. i could need it in some cases

BS Many of those that voted that will buy Note 4 even without S-pen because even then is best , said that S-Pen is the best feature. Go and read the comments on the poll-article. And please don't count the iboys votes, too . LOL

The important thing for phablets is split screen multitasking.

"It proves that having a pen isn't a requirement for an phablet." It proves.....my ass Many ppl on the poll article comment that they love and need S-pen and it's the BEST feature, but that even without S-Pen Note 4 is much better choice than the "rivals" and voted "Yes"

Will there be a 64GB version *_*?

Why? Just buy a 64GB or 128GB sd card. I have yet to fill up 32GB on my Note 3. I never place large movies or files on primary storage.

no surprise at all. Note series is already powerful device, and best in its class, be it with or without the S Pen. S Pen itself is an extra bonus added to the powerful device, and thus making it stronger than competitors. the new Note 4 is selling at a staggering 760 USD in my country, and yet the amount of pre-order and the amount of people queing up to purchase the device are more very shocking than Note 2 and Note 3.

The Note 3 sales numbers shouldn't be too hard to beat, but the Note 2 sales numbers are probably out of reach. The Note 2 had a lot less competition, whereas the Note 3 saw a lot more competitors in its size category, leading to declining sales.

over in my region: people queued up for Note 2, grab it like mad. Note 3, i seen a decline, and yes as what you mentioned, due to strong competition. people again, queued up for Note 4 and waited for Samsung shops to open, line up in a row one day before the sales start.

i Rarely use the s-pen, but i will not buy a note4 without the pen. The pen is a great addition.

if that would make the TW less laggy and more faster , i will break the pen with my hand and uninstall all the features that come with it , i will get rid of all that sh*t

Haven't seen a review yet that reported lag in the Note 4. I've seen adjectives like zippy, snappy, responsive. So you don't need to break that S- Pen. You can have the innovation and the performance.

i didn't even write note 4 once in my comment , i was talking about the whole note series , am user of note 1 ,2 ,3 . even note 3 is a beast zippy ,snappy, responsive but it's not lag free , i did face a lot of lags and freezing while using it , which is annoying , and from what i see TW still the same of course note 4 will be Zi.Sn.Re. and fast but TW will still do it's weird stuff over the phone , so am willing to sacrifice TW circus ( s,pen , HR sen. UV sen. H&T sen. etc.. for a clean experience free of lags (smsng fan btw )

A galaxy note 4 with out s pen is okay for me, but it is samsung unique feature compare to other phablets. and s pen is an extra feature

The prime motivation I had started getting the first Galaxy Note was the fact that it had a Wacom digitizer, and I have gotten all the succeeding 2 Notes . I have not been interested in any of the S series, because they have no pen digitizers. The digitizer is what makes the Note distinct, much more useful from the rest of the smartphones. I can annotate any PDF more finely with the great control with the S Pen. No way you can do that with a finger. I sketch over PDF architectural plans, I jot notes for my research. Pretty stupid if Samsung put that away. One reason why Dell Streak failed miserably, and I wasn't interested with just having a big screen. I'd rather be using a Windows phone if it was the case.

That just says the the N4 is a great phone even with the supposed novelty of the s pen. I for one use my s pen quite a bit. Np pun intended but mostly to jot notes.

I love the s-pen it just adds to the whole experience of the note, it wouldnt be the same without it!

Then u must call it galaxy 4 not NOTE 4

20. 21babydoll12 unregistered

Don't know what folks are talking about a phone be so lag free. Out of the box new it will be snappy and smooth but install your everyday apps then there's a huge difference. Even phone crashes are once in awhile. Btw, will definitely buy a note4 without a pen for waterproofing

The S Pen is a nice option to have BUT if you're not an artist, a musician or a designer (this includes Architects) , then it'll just probably sit there for like, 98 percent of the time. Dabbling on precise activities is the ONLY use of it.
