If you plan on watching the unveiling of the
OnePlus 3 using the Loop VR headset that you picked up for the cost of shipping, you will need to install the special Loop app in order to view the festivities.
OnePlus did the same thing last year when it introduced the
OnePlus 2 using VR. The manufacturer
has already taken orders for 30,000 headsets that cost only the $5 required for shipping.
As we told you earlier this morning,
the OnePlus 3 will be unveiled June 14th in the virtual Loop space station. Doors open at 12:30PM Eastern Time (9:30pm on the West Coast). During the first 2 and a half hours of the launch, the OnePlus 3 will be available in the Loop making it the first VR store. Starting at 3pm Eastern Time, the phone will also be offered at the company's website which is OnePlus.net.
The app can be downloaded and installed for free. If you own an Android handset, simply click on the sourcelink. Set a reminder for June 14th at the appropriate time, open the app, and you'll be virtually transported to the event. If you weren't able to order the Loop VR headset, other VR viewers like Google Cardboard will also work. If you don't own a VR headset, you can always watch it raw on your phone if you don't mind a "double image". You will have to move the phone to simulate the turning of your head.
