People en Espanol used the iPhone X camera for its story on the 50 most beautiful people
Over the years, we've seen the camera on the Apple iPhone used in situations where a more expensive setup is usually found. The iPhone camera has been used to film movies, music videos and magazine covers. The latest example can be found in the Spanish language version of People Magazine, People en Espanol. It happens to be the top selling Hispanic magazine in the United States and contains original content separate from the English language version.

The issue of People en Espanol magazine in question includes a story on the 50 most beautiful people of 2018. You might not know many of the names, but the list includes Demi Lovato, J. Balvin, Amara La Negra and 47 others. Each of the 50 had a portrait and a biography, and each portrait was shot using the world's most popular smartphone in the first quarter. That, of course, would be the Apple iPhone X.

People made sure that the quality of the portraits would be high enough for inclusion in the magazine. And readers would surely know if something wasn't up to snuff, especially when you consider the topic of the story. Why, it is all enough for a pleased as punch Tim Cook to tweet all about it earlier today.

The iPhone X isn't the only current handset with a camera good enough to replace professional gear. John Legend's latest music video was shot using a Google Pixel 2.

Any flagship in good lighting can deliver similar results. No big deal here.

I agreed. I have played both camera on the X and android phone like Samsung Note 8. Both seems not too far apart. The Note in low light does it better. Personally I like the Pixel2 camera better. I am sure even Chinese cheap phones are already there. This article is more like Apple advertising trying to lure people into buying their products. Oh its PhoneArena I forgot lol.

I agree but sometimes we had to give some understanding to the authors here, they need also to earn money for their living just like us. After all they did not say that other phones or particularly Android phone can't capture such good photos.

But photographers and artists always tend to use iPhone only and I wonder why is that??

Because what phones they owns than choosing what phone to use. All photos will be edited in Photoshop later. Doesn't matter what quality and more about pixel. You own iPhone, u take shots with it. You own Android phone and u take shots with it.

Just celebrities are sheep anyways so that's normal. They think it's "cool" and the teens follow.

Or because Apple pays them to because that is what this is. It is a paid for ad just like the Ellen selfie from Samsung (they just got caught).

Paid sponsorship

That would be my guess as well. It also gets extra attention and publicity to the magazine.

Because that is what they own or apple sends them a phone to use so they get the advertisement. Come on, even you would have to know that.

Why Latin women tend to have such perfect curves, I'll never know! I won't be surprised if cosmetic surgeons in Latin America run pawn shops or bait shops in the free time to make ends meet. Around here; they usually putter around in either Mercedes S Class or BMW 7 Series... Which is rather sad (If you know what I mean). Wait, why am I writing this? I'm supposed to speak technical mambo jumbo here that 90% of people won't understand, right? (Stares at the booze) Oh, never mind! G'Day!

Wow, you just can't buy that kind of publicity! (he said, sarcastically, implying that Apple obviously paid big bucks for this stunt)

Seriously, all these butthurt fandroids need psychiatric assistance, it’s beyond logical comprehension how a company that is not aware of their insignificant existence affects their lives to this point, that’s not healthy, that’s not normal, you guys are just hurting yourselves and that will make you future psychopaths, just don’t read these news if they hurt you so much

Sissy you’re obsessed with apple, you should see a doctor and check that, it’s not healthy, you should take care of your husband and sons instead of trolling apple articles on PhoneArena, do something better with your life

It takes very nice photos, why shouldn't they. They always touch them up anyway. Any top flagship phone can do the same.

I'm more interested to know more about these people than to find out which camera was used to take the shot.

Some seriously bad editing on that pic, look at the girls afro on the left shot, the top is wispy and you can see light through it. On the cover shot it looks like they laid a dead black sheep across her head. Pi$$ poor.
