Remember that we expected OnePlus to officially unveil it home-baked Lollipop-based OxygenOS on Feburary 12? It did not happen. Instead, the start-up just introduced the development team behind the ROM and revealed zero to nothing about its alternative to CyanogenMod in particular. Alas, OnePlus One owners were not treated to additional information about the ROM in ever since. We heard nothing about the arrival of CyanogenMod 12S, too.

Fortunately though, the co-founder of OnePlus, revealed that both OxygenOS and CyanogenMod 12S will bring the Android 5.0 Lollipop goodness to the masses sometime next month. However, don't keep your hopes up for an early release - the ETA is scheduled for "mid to late March", as Pei puts it.

He also revealed that while alpha nightly builds for both OS builds already exist, additional honing of their stability is what's taking OnePlus so long and making it miss the 90-day update window.
