OnePlus One owners remain Oxygen deprived as another delay takes hold
On the day before OnePlus was supposed to start rolling out the home grown Oxygen OS for the OnePlus One, a post on Reddit revealed that the company will not be releasing the software on Friday as planned. OnePlus One users originally were being given the opportunity to decide between Oxygen OS and the updated CyanogenMod 12S. Both operating systems are based on Android 5.0.

While OnePlus says that both Oxygen OS and Cyanogen Mod 12S are ready to go, both operating systems need to complete the certification process. Cyanogen was going to be available to OnePlus One users on Monday and it has been officially delayed as well.

OnePlus was already developing its own OS when it was disclosed that Cyanogen had signed a deal to provide its software in India exclusively to Indian phone manufacturer Micromax. As a result, the OnePlus One was temporarily banned in the country. Eventually, the court reversed the ban which allowed OnePlus to offer its handset in India once again.

As for the Oxygen OS and CM12S releases, there is no word on when OnePlus will try one more time to push them out to OnePlus One owners.
