“Omni” - HTC Universal's successor
There's been reports that HTC is currently working on the successor of the Universal, also known as i-mate JASJAR. The device is codenamed “Omni” and is expected to sport the same “laptop-like” design but to be slightly thinner than its predecessor and feature some added hardware buttons. It will still have the VGA display, but connectivity will be improved as the handset will have HSDPA support. The Intel processor will be replaced by a Samsung one, while the OS will be Windows Mobile 5 AKU3 and it's said to feature a unique capability to output to a projector.

Rumors are that a launch is expected at the end of 2006 or early 2007.
