Nokia's classic Snake game has been updated and is playable online via Nokia's Facebook page
Hailed as being one of the most played videogames of all time, Nokia’s ever-popular Snake game is being updated for the holidays via the official Nokia Facebook page. Considering that they’ve been showing off their new Windows Phone powered Lumia devices of late, there’s no surprise at all that the game has been tweaked to match the live tiles looks of Windows Phone.

For those who grew up in the early days of Nokia’s rise to dominance, Snake was preloaded on many of the handset maker’s devices – giving them good reasons to kill time. However, as time moved on and devices became more complex, the simplicity of Snake soon outgrew some people, and it seemingly became forgotten over the last several years.

Taking a stride to Nokia’s Facebook page, one is greeted with the memorable game in its full fidelity – though, this time you’re chasing after wrapped gifts, while sporting an ever-expanding Christmas sweater. Besides the fun game play, the Facebook tie-in allows players to not only beat their own scores, but also share them as well to challenge other players or friends.

Trust us, if you played the game before, you’ll surely enjoy this one – while bringing back fond memories of yesterday.

I had an Android LG, got rid of it, now I've got a Nokia N8 - great phone with a great OS, probably my next will be a Windows Nokia.
