Nokia updating its City Lens application, we're still waiting for the new Lumias to come out
City Lens for Windows Phone is an augmented reality application by Nokia, which can show you the destination and distance to certain points of interest of your choosing.

Thankfully, this isn't one of those services that are just launched and left to die without any following support, as Nokia has just pushed an update for the app, bringing its version number to Now, exactly what is new in this version seems to be a mystery so far, as the company hasn't bothered to explain. This makes us believe that all this update brings are some minor bug fixes.

When it comes to the big stuff coming from Nokia's camp, though, we're all pretty much waiting with bated breath for the company to finally launch its new Lumia smartphones, the 920 and 820. Although there still isn't an official release date, we know that Microsoft will officially celebrate the "release" of Windows Phone 8 on October 29, so we hope that the new Lumias, as well as the other Windows Phone 8 phones will follow soon afterwards.

You can download the latest version of the Nokia City Lens app from here, but keep in mind that it only works on Lumia handsets.

What, what... the 920 is old news now Nokia... I'm looking at the Nokia 950 or maybe the Nokia 1001. Listen, someone should tell Nokia "if you snooze, you lose".

I have to agree with you...
I'm a Nokia person but it seems like months since the new Lumias were announced and the release date still feels like ages away. I don't feel this is a good move.

On the plus side, at least we get more than one new phone per year...

For now. When Nokia is a fully owned subsidiary of Apple, Inc., these features will be coming out on a new phone...once a year.

Great! So Nokia can then adapt the purple haze feature of the iPhone5 into their Lumia920 line!

I'm not sure. Have we seen any pictures that were actually taken with the 920's camera?

The best thing that would come out of it would be greater than 500k sales, or as Apple likes to call it, "one day."

pretty sure the 920 wont have the purple haze for the simple reason it isn't normal

beside when it comes to mobile camera's nokia are leagues ahead so not worried it wont live up to the hype and justify the pureview name

as for the sales part, thats all apple fans have to fall back on the sales figures, isnt the sg3 doing better though

I am a Verizon customer and there is info on the Web that there is a new Nokia smart phone for Verizon that is a version of the Nokia 920 only it's thinner, lighter and better.
I hope this is true at least the people who spread the rumor said they held it in their hands which means it's for real and being tested I hope Nokia and Verizon announce
it to the world before Verizon starts selling the less powerful Verizon 822 so people
donot get locked in a 2 year contract for a Lumia 822 when they could have waited and got a better Nokia Lumia smart phone
