The busiest shopping day(s) of the summer are right around the corner, and although Amazon isn't exactly taking our breath away with its early Prime Day deals and Best Buy Prime Day deals available already, we're starting to receive word from various top brands of what's in the pipeline for July 15 and 16.
Keen on making headlines before the actual 48-hour sales event kicks off, exclusive Nokia brand licensee HMD Global is today revealing its full list of upcoming discounts. Starting from the top of the food chain, we can't say we're too surprised to hear the high-end Nokia 9 PureView will go a whopping 200 bucks off its $699 regular price on Monday, finally beating the best introductory deals from a few months back.
While highly anticipated, the Nokia 9 PureView release left a lot of reviewers disappointed, although to its credit, HMD has been working hard to improve the key weakness of the 6-inch handset. Powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and 6GB RAM, the Android One phone is certainly not worth 700 bucks, but this impending Prime Day discount will definitely boost its appeal and value for money proposition.
Meanwhile, the upper mid-range Nokia 7.1 is looking at a cool $100 price reduction, with the smaller and slightly humbler Nokia 6.1 slated to receive a $30 cut, and the entry-level Nokia 3.1 gearing up for a surprisingly large $50 (or 31 percent) discount. All markdowns are calculated compared to the original list prices of these already affordable Android phones, and they are all likely to come into effect on Monday, July 15, catering exclusively to Amazon Prime-subscribing bargain hunters.
