Newly-leaked case for the upcoming Huawei Nexus hints at rear hump, fingerprint reader
Rumors regarding Huawei's first crack at making a Nexus smartphone are already freely flying around for just anyone to grab, with renders and alleged specs aplenty. Although we're not quite sure when when the larger of the two upcoming Nexus devices will get official, we already have a pretty good idea of what it will look like, as it has been allegedly leaked numerous times.

A couple of shots of a silicon case allegedly intended for the Huawei Nexus popped up, courtesy of @onleaks. The cases are in line with some of the real-world image of the device that popped up last week, the one with the black bar at the rear. There's a circular cutout for the rumored fingerprint reader that is on board. The newly-leaked case also seems to re-affirm the previous rumors that the upper rear portion of the device, one covered with the black bar, will be protruding, creating a noticeable hump.

As far as the Huawei Nexus is concerned, it will most likely feature a Snapdragon 810 chipset inside, paired with 3GB of RAM. A 64GB version will also supposedly make the cut. All of this will be crammed up under a 5.7-inch display.

Check out the silicon case for the Huawei-made Nexus 6 right below and make sure to share your opinion: are you holding your breath for this device or not?

And here I was, complaining about a tiny protrusion of iPhone 6/6+ camera... Just make the damn phone thicker... Who cares...

Any bump is better than that tiny Apple one right in the top left corner ergonomically. While this one is uglier than the iPhone bump and equal in ugliness to the Nokia bumps, at least it won't rock on a table. It's wedge like a keyboard or laptop for stability. Still, the Samsung bump is better because it acts like one of those keyboard pegs you flip up to get more height on your keyboard for stability and it isn't nearly as ugly as this or Apples, it's symmetrically right in the dead centre too.

That bump up the top looks so ugly, the last thing I'd want is a transparent case! One that evens out it's thickness would be better. Don't care if the asking-for-trouble fingerprint sensor is covered.

I'm all for new designs that break the mould of "Black Rectangle", but I just don;t know how I feel about that hump :/

Yes, they can, but do not forget that this ugly desgn is requested, or at least approve by Google. Same like ugly Microsoft 950, 950xl design. So disappointed by them. Will go for Z5 if the back is not glass maybe... Still not sure

RIP Huawei... Google killed HTC's tablet hopes with Nexus 9. Now they will kill the US dreams of Huawei with this ugly hump Nexus phone. Nexus line is going the Google Plus way, themselves contributing to the death of the series.

Seems like Motorola has done a better job this year, Moto X Style > This, will wait for official unveiling to see if it is true.

The angle the protrusion makes will work nicely while the phone sits on a desk all day.

This is just an ugly phone no other way to put it. No humps for me. But I do not think Google makes much money on these Nexus devices so I guess they do not care.

Google should have kept Duarte on hardware and someone else on software. Seems like Duarte makes all the right moves on hardware, nexus 10, nexus 4, and nexus 5. But all the wrong moves on software, with the Android M app drawer and some girly icons.

Put that design to an iPhone and it will become beautiful. LOL
