New mid-range HTC Desire spotted in China?
A published report cites a source in China for a leaked photograph of a unknown HTC handset. The thin, red colored phone is believed to be a mid-range HTC Desire model, which could be launched in the March-April time period. The device purportedly carries a 5 inch screen, and will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. Speculation calls for a price in the neighborhood of 2000 yuan ($330 USD).

HTC Chairwoman Cher Wang has called the third quarter a trough for her company and says that 2014 will be a comeback year for HTC. Considering that HTC has previously said that its problems were with the mid to low end of the market, this new model might play an important part in the manufacturer's recovery.

It is possible that this is the recently leaked D310w model that was recently certified in Indonesia and is expected to be released in China as the HTC V1. This is tipped as a low end device with just 512MB of RAM on board.

Yeah, for what they're asking, it should include 1GB - hence my statement.

I would expect 512 MB on a $100 device, not $300. Hopefully the price or RAM rumors are wrong.

no it will be 300$ only.. HTC has been super overpriced with their desire series... desire200,300,500,600,700 All have been terribly o overpriced.. no wonder why they are struggling.

I would agree but cost of one in china vs what it would cost state side is different. Like the 521, i could get it for $50 at one point, but other places it is a $200 dollar device. I would agree how ever that 1gb should be standard by now.
