New Pixel and Pixel XL renders offer a peek at a possible gold variant

We've been tailing the Google Pixel and Pixel XL for a while now and after a deluge of leaks through September, the wait is almost over. Ahead of the expected reveal next Tuesday at the Big G's confirmed showcase, we're likely to encounter a few of the typical last-ditch leaks. To whet appetites of tech fans far and wide, one designer has dropped a set of eye-catching renders that imagine the probable design in a variety of different shades.

Having seen press renders and leaks of the devices from various angles, we can be tentatively sure of the overall design. So far, we expect the Pixel and Pixel XL to be flaunted in black and white and perhaps even blue, but what about gold? Russian site Rozetked has shared some very appealing renders of Google's next-gen handsets which, while in alignment with what we've seen so far, offer a few different perspectives and angles.

Bear in mind that what you see in the gallery below is just the view of a talented artist. The final design is likely to be similar (albeit with the rear camera on the other side of the devices), but we won't know for absolute certain until Google makes its big announcement.

With the curtain soon to close on the rumor mill, you can keep up with the very latest Pixel info in our rumor round-up. In the meantime, take a look through the renders and be sure to have your say in the comments.

I prefer this video render with chamfered edges and slimmer bezels: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Google-Pixel-XL-dimensions-revealed-alongside-360-degree-renders_id85989 This one here merely looks like an iPhone knockoff...hope they're not the real deal.

God that's ugly. These phones can't compete the iPhone and GS7. At least not in the looks department.

I think they look great. Good thing opinions are subjective.

I agree I really like the looks in what we've seen so far, only one I don't like is the white glass one!

Hmm..... I think you might be right, I guess the simplest solution would be to turn the phone on its right side instead of left.... Yeah, I just tried it with my phone, still feels weird.

These new renders show the camera lens on the right side on the back of the phone. I really doubt this will be the actual design.

Looks pretty good to me! But for those that say it looks like an iPhone, how about all those htc phones that were also metal? Lmao being that this is a htc made device I think it looks like an HTC phone just saying. But all metal phones look the same as this point and that's not a bad thing. If the price is right I'll probably pick one up. I must say though I love my Note 7 so in order for me to make the switch this will have to be a total killer device.

Where is the red?

I would like a dark steel blue since Apple totally ditched that one without a second thought.

I'd like to see one in Best Buy blue like they did for the HTC One M7and M8. That glass/plastic section needs to be masked though IMO.

These colors are bad-looking and boring. I want the handset in Really Blue!!

I like how Google's phones will be more Moto like than current gen Moto phones.

Glad they moved on from that humongous vertical 'nexus' insignia. That looked so cheezy to me.

I actually like the back design. To each there own. I think the pixels look good. If the have a 821, I will probably buy one.
