New Moto G5 hands-on photos leak out

New Moto G5 hands-on photos leak out
Not long after we saw the Moto G5 Plus in real-life photos, we can now take a look at a few hands-on images of the regular Moto G5 (as you may know, both these handsets have yet to be announced).

While it looks pretty much like the G5 Plus, the regular Moto G5 is a tad smaller, as it features a 5-inch 1080p display, instead of the 5.2-inch 1080p screen of its larger brethren.

According to the source of the newly leaked hands-on photos, the Moto G5 has a metal back, and its battery is a removable one. Naturally, this should apply to the G5 Plus as well.

Both the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus run Android Nougat, and one of the new images seemingly confirms the fact that the former handset does come with Android 7.0 pre-installed. Other Moto G5 features should include a fingerprint scanner, splash resistance, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of expandable storage space. As for the G5 Plus, this will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, while offering 64 GB of expandable internal memory.

Lenovo and Motorola will likely announce the Moto G5 and G5 Plus on February 26 at MWC 2017. The two handsets could be released shortly thereafter, possibly costing $200 and $250, respectively. We're certainly expecting both new phones to be sold in the US unlocked. Let us know if you think you'll want to buy any of them, will you?

Are those bezels bulletproof? They better be

Wow, recently every Sony/HTC/Moto article always has a "bezel" comment, regardless of the screen-to-body ratio.

Aren't bezels and screen-to-body inversely related? Stb ratio goes down as bezels increase?

Yes, that's what I'm talking about, they don't care about the actual screen-to-body ratio as long as they have HTC/Sony/Moto as their brand

Sony and Moto used on screen keys, that's why people are expecting lesser bezel unlike say xiaomi or Samsung because bezel are used as navigation keys and always looks useful as compared to Moto or Sony

How? The Moto G5 seems to be the same as any other Moto G, decent specs for the price and better than its predecessor, what more could you ask for considering the price.

Oh trust me, they'd ask for a S835 for $99 if they could. People are getting stupid about phone pricing.....

Those are the same people who blindly hate iPhones and calling them old spec'ed phones.

I completely agree with your post in regard to spec. Now if he's talking about the aesthetic design then that's a little more subjective.

Aesthetics wise, I just don't see the need for the huge round camera. It was somewhat justified on the Moto Z line due to the Moto Mods (though they could have easily had a smaller camera circle that the mods snapped around). I guess they just wanted this gen's G series to take some of the design cues from the Z line, though, so this is the outcome.

Yeah the design could have been better.

2GB RAM is plain stupid for plus version. Other manufacturers are offering 4GB RAM and 64GB for less money. Indian mobile market is going crazy.

They're most likely going to do the 2GB for the base and 4GB for the budget. But I agree...
