Netflix gets iOS 7 update

Netflix gets iOS 7 update
Fans of  "Orange is the New Black," the hour long drama set in a woman's prison, will be happy to hear about the update to the Netflix for iOS app now available in the App Store. The show is a Netflix exclusive and Thursday's update adds the usual stability fixes and optimizations to video playback. The version of Netflix in the App Store is now 5.0 and includes HD playback for the new iOS 7.

The update adds AirPlay support for Netflix, something that the company back in 2011 said it would never support. Back then, Netflix told Apple TV users just to use its dedicated app. But with the new version of the streaming content site, programming can be zapped from an Apple iPhone, Apple iPad or Apple iPod directly to a hooked-up Apple TV without having to load the Netflix app on the latter device.

Never Say Never... Seriously though, why would they not want to have AirPlay on their iOS apps before? Netflix on the AppleTV is okay, but I prefer the mobile version layout way more.
