We just witnessed the unveiling of the first Intel-based smartphone from Motorola, the RAZR i, which is actually the first that Intel hopes will receive some prominence, thanks to the brand-name manufacturer, and appealing design. We received a word from UK phone retailer Clove that the phone will be stocked in the first week of October there, and cost 342 pound sterling with VAT (around $555) SIM-free.
Moto has made an effort to alter its recently-announced DROID RAZR M design enough to make the handset stand out on its own, with a dedicated camera key, but has kept the appealing features from its Android sibling - the "edge-to-edge" 4.3" Super AMOLED screen, and the kevlar back.
Well, the screen is not exactly edge-to-edge, as it has a hair-thin bezel on the side, probably around the record thin bezels achieved in upcoming phones like the Xiaomi Mi-Two, or the LG Optimus G, but that bezel is probably the closest we can get for now to edge-to-edge without compromising structure and touching the screen with unintended consequences by just holding it in our hands.
