More Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 XL images leak; new NYC store to open October 26th
Earlier today, we showed you images of the Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 XL that were mistakenly published on Microsoft's U.K. online store. The leak not only included pictures of the phones, it also revealed some of the specs for each model. Now, some more images of the two Windows 10 Mobile phones have been leaked, which you can view in the slideshow at the bottom of this story.

Microsoft is expected to introduce the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL next Tuesday, October 6th. That event will take place in New York City and will probably include the Surface Pro 4 and the Microsoft Band 2.

In addition, Microsoft's first flagship New York store is opening at 677 Fifth Avenue, where a Fendi store closed. The date of the opening is October 26th. The five story location offers 22,269 square feet, and consumers will reportedly be able to go hands-on with the new Lumia handsets and the Surface Pro 4 inside the store, when it opens.

Will the new devices launch on October 26th as well? That remains to be seen.

Thanks for the tip!

There are more advantages to polycarbonate over aluminum than disadvantages in my opinion.

I was on lumia 950/XL and LG G 4 Pro's band wagon but Nexus 6p made me out of it. Now I am standing on a buss stop waiting which buss to catch. I was never a fan of Nexus devices but this Huawei made 6p stunned me. Nexus 6p already impressed me with its camera and price, now its microsoft's turn to impress.

I have to agree about the 6P, It really does look nice. I could even make due without the wireless charging, The deal breaker is it's just too damn big. I mean, it's as tall as a nexus 6 despite the screen being .3" smaller. They should have been able to get it much closer to the size of the note 5, maybe even smaller since the Note 5 has it's fingerprint sensor on the front with capacitive buttons and the nexus has on screen buttons. I'm waiting to see the reviews on the 950 & 950XL, I wouldn't mind returning to Windows phone, android can be too much work sometimes. Constantly trying to figure out why my battery life sucks today. I never seemed to have that problem with my Nokia 920.

Eagerly awaiting for these handsets to be released as one of them will be added to my smartphone collection. I'm also equally excited about Microsoft opening its first flagship store. This is a great way to for people to see first hand what Microsoft products like the new Lumia's can do. It also doesn't hurt to have a physical presence in a big city like NY via a brick and mortar store.

The design is decent and tasteful, but hardly compelling enough to make people switch to an app-less ecosystem. I actually like Windows Phone but it still seems like the mobile equivalent of a Dead Mall which just lost its Sbarros.

well said. My only concern about such a nice device is its Dead Mall
