Meizu MX4 Pro gets benchmarked, reveals latest rumored specs

The Meizu MX4 Pro has just made it through the GFX benchmark site, giving us an idea about the latest rumored specs on the device. Sporting a 5.5 inch screen, the resolution of the display is expected to be 1536 x 2560. Under the hood we should find an octo-core 2GHz Samsung Exynos 5 CPU, while a Mali T-628 GPU handles the graphics. 3GB of RAM is believed to be inside and native storage on the handset should amount to 16GB.

The rear camera is expected to weigh in at 20.7MP and record video in 4K. The front-facing camera will reportedly be a 5MP "Selfie" snapper. Meizu's Flyme OS will run on top of Android 4.4.4, which is pre-installed. The latest speculation has the phone getting released next month.

A Meizu executive recently confirmed that the MX4 Pro will indeed sport a fingerprint sensor that will be as reliable as any such sensor on the market. The Meizu MX4 Pro is expected to be available only via Chinese retailers, although the handset will also be available in other markets for those ordering online.

16:10 aint too bad. Most tabs have it.

2560x1536 is 15:9, not 16:10. 2560x1600 is 16:10. It's a phone resolution though, not a tablet. It's 4x 1280x768.

Why because ARMv8 is here? That's like saying the S5, Z3, Note 4 and M8 are outdated as well.

I hope the battery will be big enough to compensate for the combination of the somewhat older and less efficient Mali T-628 GPU and the high resolution of 1536 X 2560..

Epic fail. There is no way that t628 is going to handle more than QHD. You need adreno 420 or mali t760 on QHD to handle graphics as well as 1080p + adreno 330 or 1080p + mali t628. It's a similar mistake to what LG did with G3. That resulted in heating, throttling, bad battery life and performance problems. Also the QHD wasn't that nice either. If you're going with exynos, go for 5433.

There are tablets using QHD screen with t628 or adreno330

They don't have very high performance as I recall.
