Meet the Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5

Meet the Samsung Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5
Samsung is getting ready to launch two new smartphones called Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7. While we don't know exactly when the handsets will be officially unveiled, we can already take a look at both of them, thanks to the fact that they've been approved by China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (aka TENAA).

Like the already announced Galaxy J1, the J7 and J5 appear to be made out of plastic. The Galaxy J7 is the largest (and also the thinnest) of the bunch, sporting a 5.5-inch 720p TFT display, and measuring 152.4 x 79.2 x 7.9 mm. The J5 offers a 5-inch 720p TFT display, while measuring 142 x 73 x 8.5 mm.

It seems that the J7 and J5 share most of their features, including Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, LTE, 5 MP front-facing cameras, 8 MP rear cameras, 1.5 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable storage space. Both smartphones have octa-core processors (at least according to TENAA), but the J7's CPU is clocked at 1.4 GHz, while the CPU that's powering the J5 is clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 that are pictured below (model numbers SM-J7008 and SM-J5008) should soon be released in China, and we expect to see slightly different variations of them in other markets. Of course, we still have to wait for Samsung to announce the new handsets to know where and for how much they're going to be available.

Actually Samsung doesn't produce crappy phones almost at all. Bear with me, I've owned 2 sam devices so far and their hardware is top notch. They don't break no matter how much u drop. Sometimes their phones are more pratical ; Galaxy ace 4 has no red eye effect at all While mi 3 has a lot. And now they're opting JEANS strategy which resembles their company color. IE, J , E , A, Note and S. So everything makes sense.

People seem to forget that this is aimed for china's market, which has sooo many more people and various demands for phones that making different variations with different price points make sense, not everyone can afford high end phones only, this makes sense from a business perspective?

If those were Samsung Fans. I am one of them too and I am proud of it. Its Samsung and they could make as many models as they wish. If a company could make a phone with 1GB of RAM and sell it for $1000. Why troll on this rather than that?

The display should've been Super AMOLED or at least PLS variety.. otherwise.. unwanted product... not required as people would surely look elsewhere and other brands with better offerings in this price bracket... Samsung flagships are great, but in this range OnePlus, Xiaomi, Moto, Microsoft etc offers better options.....

These. Totally ruining the fame of the original Galaxy J (an NTT Docomo carrier-specific phone). The original J has nearly the same internals as a Galaxy Note 3, and by today's standard is still a powerful thing to have. Also, the looks stand out from the family of Samsung plastic, thanks to it being designed partly in Japan. Official KitKat, unofficial Lollipop and the ~$160 current price tag in China here sweeten it even more. And now this. Like the J1 is not enough, here comes J5 and J7. What else can I say?

Y'all spoiled 800$+ phone users need to shut up. They have 3 MAIN phones now for low end users who adore Samsung. They aren't making useless phones and you really need to think about. High end: S, Note, & Edge line. Midrange: A3, A5, A7. Low end: J1, J5, & J7... Get y'all flagship hungry behinds out. Talking about how bad the phone is.... What you expect 4K screen and 4GB of ram?! A lot of people don't have the money to be buying technology that they probably won't take advantage of when they gotta pay rent, car note and put food in they kids mouth.

Yep it matters, if they are made in the country where they will be only sold than it will sell pretty well same like iPhone in USA, Samsung in Korea and so on

Lol.. Seriously? LG? Last I checked LG new stylo & G4c were gonna be priced like midrangers. But Samsung can't be pricing low when they are a global company, having the pay workers, inventing in R&D etc. etc. Also, last I checked you could buy the Galaxy A3 & A5 here in the U.S. at Walmart online.

Wasnt you the one who said dont judge others and now you are the one judging? Ignorance is high with this one Also how do you know if its a bad phone or not? Have you tried it? People have said that for A series and yet I saw more A series phone than S or Note
