Manufacturer says that the Bluboo Xtouch is the first smartphone to use 3D printing
Bluboo uses the 3D printer to produce the back shell of the Xtouch. The company says that after the 3D printing, it "adds nano composite film craft on the shell to form diamond cut mirror style visual effects." As you can see from the video embedded below, the result is a flexible, but strong rear panel for the device.
The Bluboo Xtouch features that Gorilla Glass 3 protected 5-inch screen, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The MediaTek MT6753 SoC that powers the phone, comes with an octa-core CPU. 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM is inside, along with 32GB of expandable native storage. The camera combo from back to front weighs in at 13MP/8MP, and a 3050mAh battery keeps the pistons pumping. Android 5.1 is pre-installed.
The Bluboo Xtouch is $149.99, although the company says that during the current pre-order period, everyone has a chance to purchase it for $99.
