Latest CAD image of Apple iPhone 8 is right here
Amid rumors that the 10th anniversary edition of the Apple iPhone (which we will call the iPhone 8 for now) could be unveiled at WWDC next month, the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) image of the handset has been tweeted by tipster OnLeaks. Right off the bat, the source admits that the image might be a fake, but we guess that goes with the territory. The image shows the vertically placed dual-camera setup in back, just like we've become accustomed to.

Other interesting things that we can take away from staring at the design, include the lack of a Touch ID button on the front or the back of the phone. This suggests that the fingerprint scanner is embedded under the screen. Unfortunately, it is this technology that is rumored to be at the heart of a possible delay in the release of the handset. A previous leak mentioned that the side buttons are not mechanical, but are sensors that do provide haptic feedback.

While we would suggest taking this story with a grain of salt, we should also point out that it was a CAD design captured in a photograph that gave us the first look at the Apple iPhone 6 a good six months prior to its unveiling.

Has anyone considered that The iPhone 8 FPS might be hosted on one of the side buttons? Thus eliminating the delay yet a disappointment for those who were hoping for a embedded FPS under the screen. It would still be a good move by Apple

No, its going to be under the screen. As per the latest info.

What info? All I'm seeing you do is copy paste rumors and post them in your comments. From the latest leaks, the power button has grown a lot in length, which means that Apple might consider pulling a Sony and implement their fingerprint scanner under the power button.

You're an idiot. Do u have any evidence, info or rumor that the fps will be on the power button? At least i have current info like this semantic, drawings, and some reliable analyst that have all said that it will be under the screen unlike you who is just holding on to your retarded assumption just because you're too salty to admit that apple will put the fps under the screen before anybody else. We shall see whos stupid at the end of the day.

Did I hit a nerve or something? Take a chill the f up pill budd, no need for those childish insults. And you've got nothing, you have been repeating the same rumors on every article acting like you have a back door access to Apple's headquarters.

Clearly those "semantic" and "drawings" are irrefutable evidence that his wet dreams will come true. I mean they have been retracted as possible by most of the credible analysts but hey, you can't stop him from dreaming the impossible.

As per even more reliable sources and rumours from Ming Chi Kuo iPhone 8 might not be released this year so don't set your hopes so high yet lol

I tested the Samsung FPS reader on the S8 at my local Best buy and I, dont have the largest hand side possible and without any issue, able to reach the FPS not even touching the camera lens. On the S8+. The S8 is so slim I had no possible issue of even remotely missing it ( it is well distinguishable from the camera lens ). I don't see what all the fuss is about Granted that it is not the optimum spot it is still good.

You were in a controlled situation and was thinking about what you were doing. This is very different than using this thing in the real world and just pulling it out of your pocket without thinking about it.

What? Lol It actually becomes more like a habit and you get used to it much better once you own the device and you start repeating the same motion over and over again. I for myself, don't even think about it when I'm trying to unlock my device, I'm pretty much used to the new placement now.

No, not really - the Best Buy I was at, Yes they have tied down units, Had a Samsung representative that had both devices un-tethered and offer me to try either one or both in the store by placing them in my pocket and then lifting them out to see how quick and easy it was unlock. And for me it was really simply.

Three of my friends bought the S8 or S8+ and none of them had problems finding the FPS without really thinking about it. And especially after some use, muscle memory kicks in. Is it an ideal place, no, is it a big issue, not at all.

33. willard12 unregistered

Yeah. But, were they in a controlled environment? /s

Agreed to find the FPS scanner is easy. To reach it when holding the phone from the botom ( and not the middle ) is almost impossible. thats what i dont like about it. And the edge on the screen. Otherwise i am impressed at what S8/S8+ deliver.

Wow. You really just wrote that....and are serious about it. Well, at least he did actually think about it (as you claim). You clearly weren't thinking about this idiotic comment before you wrote it.

What an ignorant mofo you Whether you use it everyday or not. Picking up a hone and testing location of a button, doesn't require ownership. You are simply Samsung hater dude...just shut-up. You and Kiko must be roommates. You both sound exactly the same. Both of you are brainwashed knuckleheads with no individual thought whatsoever! If Apple and Samsung as PA reported happen to get the FPS working as they need it too under the display, then their next phone will have it. If not, it won't. The problem with you suckers, is you all are spoiled brats who hate change, unless Apple changes it. You all said Motorola was stupid to remove the headphone jack, but love the fact Apple did it. Hypocrite. It's not different. You can pick up a phoen and use it for 5 minutes and get a pretty good idea whatever day usage will be like. You claim is stupid. Do you own a car? Did you take it for a test drive? I hope you did. How long did you need to drive it to decide it was the car for you? Did you keep it a week? NO! You drove it for maybe 15 mins. Stop being a troll. OH cant help being what you were born to be.

PhoneCritic to get to the FPS easy you need to hold the phone from the middle so its might slip from your hand. When i hold my phone i hold it from the botom with my little finger under it and the rest around the phone for a grip. From thats position its IMPOSSIBLE to reach the FPS on the S8+ and a big stretch on the S8 ( and i have big hand )

Posts: 14967; Member since: Sep 25, 2013 that a Siri button on the side? I bought that's the iPhone 8...maybe iPhone 7S? It's kinda ugly. Rotating the camera 90 degrees is ugly too. Apple, I don't care is the camera has bulk, but PLEAAASEEEEEE centralize it. So at least of the device wobbles, it does so equally from both sides. It is annoying when I lay an iPhone flat and it wobbles to one side. Apple can't even evolve their own products. They got Sony to help with a design. They have stuck with that same design since forever. The Galaxy S has improved its looks over time with the S8 looking nothing like its original model, while the iPhone from the front looks unchanged and they all have a basic similar look other than size difference. For me, with exception of the 3GS and the 5S, they all are ugly in general, but are just very nice phones. The base iPhone's doesn't look like a $650 phone, nor is it spec'd like one. The Plus models are not and don't look like a $700-$900 phone, nor are they spec'd like one. All the Apple-crits who bash Samsung's full display design, who actually love it, will buy this ugly phone to get the same concept they claim they hate///but won't get all the same benefits. Hopefully the new FPS works out because as article, both Apple and Samsung had issues getting it to work, or the S8 would have had it.

Dude, where are you seeing a freaking Siri button? You have the power button on one side and the volume, mute button on the left. You just want Apple to copy Samsung so bad so you can laugh. The fact of the matter is that the S8 bring nothing new to the table other than a stretched screen. Everything else is from 2016 and earlier. It has ezels at the top and bottom and the FPS is in a terrible location because they couldn't figure out how to put it under the screen. The iPhone is full screen with Touch ID, cameras and the sensors under the screen. It also has dual cameras on the front and back with VR capabilities. This is just what we know so far. It's basically what Samsung dreamed of, but couldn't execute!

You should post a picture of this new iPhone seeing as it sounds like you are holding one. Otherwise it is all rumours and concepts so far.
