LG may have just trolled Huawei and its US ban on Twitter
Huawei has been having a pretty tough time lately and, while fanboys of certain brands may be enjoying the situation, very few people are laughing about it due to the serious consequences that could arise later on.

If the situation continues unchanged, this week could potentially mark the beginning of the end for Huawei’s smartphone business. Obviously, for rival manufactures it could prove to be a potential growth opportunity – Huawei is currently the second largest smartphone brand and represents 20% of the global market – but very few will admit it due to the negative press it could generate.

Despite all of this, LG’s South African branch took to Twitter earlier today to boast about the company’s solid relationship with Google “that's been going strong for years.” It also included a screenshot in which it asks the Google Assistant who it’s best friend is, to which the assistant responds with “I don’t want to be too forward, but I think you and I get along quite well.”

Naturally, this tweet leaves a lot left open to interpretation. It could either be a pre-planned marketing move that has simply been posted at the wrong time, or it could be an unnecessary swipe at Huawei’s inability to do business with Google moving forward. But if it turns out to be the latter, LG should probably rethink its online marketing strategy.

This is BS, and if you would have asked the same thing in Google Assistant, then you could get the same results yourself. It's just that someone added the LG graphic parts. Danny_a2005, clearly you don't use Google Assistant. PhoneArena shame on you.

What I am noticing here is all these users that are posting never used Google Assistant. Because you would get the same results yourself. As a matter of fact you get a few different responses back. But the graphics part was added by someone else. Who knows, it could be by PhoneArena.

Yeah, so LGMobileSA only started a few hours ago. Why didn't LG put that on there own and main twitter handle? LGUSAMobile. What it looks like is you got fooled into posting that fake crap that you posted.

Hey, I double checked for you. Its LG South Africa and the page has been around since 2012. I thought it was fake at first too. But it's an actually post followed up by other one asking google how they are and the assistant responding Life's Good, aka LG. I think it is funny, but in poor taste kind of way that us American's love lol.

It's the South African account, as stated in the article, not the US one.

Because they're not the top selling phone manufacturer? Doesn't change the fact the they don't have to worry about Google dropping them.

If you actually used Google Assistant, and actually asked the same thing yourself, then you would get the same results, except the LG graphics parts which someone added in.

Its like you can't choose your parents but you can choose your partner. Evergone on Androind has to be parented by Google but not many want to prtnership with LG phones.

Pfft, even if they're banned in the country, can't source chip components or even have an OS to pop on their devices, it still shouldn't be hard for Huawei to outsell LG in the US...

Lol, well LG and Sony should look into fully capitalizing on this situation now, many people who went to Huawei were probably tired of Samsung and will not be wanting to be forced to go back.

This tweet is in bad taste. I'm sure LG HQ didn't have a hand in this.
