LG may have just trolled Huawei and its US ban on Twitter
Huawei has been having a pretty tough time lately and, while fanboys of certain brands may be enjoying the situation, very few people are laughing about it due to the serious consequences that could arise later on.

If the situation continues unchanged, this week could potentially mark the beginning of the end for Huawei’s smartphone business. Obviously, for rival manufactures it could prove to be a potential growth opportunity – Huawei is currently the second largest smartphone brand and represents 20% of the global market – but very few will admit it due to the negative press it could generate.

Despite all of this, LG’s South African branch took to Twitter earlier today to boast about the company’s solid relationship with Google “that's been going strong for years.” It also included a screenshot in which it asks the Google Assistant who it’s best friend is, to which the assistant responds with “I don’t want to be too forward, but I think you and I get along quite well.”

Naturally, this tweet leaves a lot left open to interpretation. It could either be a pre-planned marketing move that has simply been posted at the wrong time, or it could be an unnecessary swipe at Huawei’s inability to do business with Google moving forward. But if it turns out to be the latter, LG should probably rethink its online marketing strategy.
