LG V10 phone with secondary display likely to be unveiled at LG's confirmed October 1st press event

Earlier today, LG started sending out invites to a press event on October 1 in New York City. Although the company did not reveal any details about the products that the event will focus on, there's reason to believe that this event will bring the introduction of the rumored LG "V10" smartphone.

Last month, a new high-end LG smartphone was spotted in the TENAA database. Although at first we believed that the phone in question will be the often-rumored LG G4 Pro, it was then discovered that the phone might actually come with an auxiliary display. This wouldn't be the first handset from a big manufacturer to integrate a secondary display, although we're obviously hoping that the functionality will be significantly improved compared to efforts such as the 2010 Samsung Continuum.

According to unofficial sources, the LG V10 will come with a 5.7-inch display running a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels (QHD), the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 from Qualcomm, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of microSD-expandable storage, a 16MP primary camera, and 5MP secondary shooter on the front.

Are you guys excited about the LG "V10"?

LG G2 thus far has been the last great LG phone to have been released, in regards to what they were competing against. Too many LG phones with mediocre specs. G4 is OK, but that screen is awful. This G4 Pro or whatever they'll call it doesn't compete with the likes of Note 4 or Note 5.

correct, G4'S screen is very good and doesnt strain eyes... Super AMOLED is the best screen. LG or any other company cannot compete with it, no denial in it but I dont know why it strain my eyes. Do anyone has same issue with Super Amoled?

Check out the white balance accuracy of the G4 vs Note 4 and Note 5. Way off. IPS can't keep up with Super-AMOLED in color accuracy, white balance, or contrast. iPhones come close but LG is nowhere near.

Life span? Do you use your phone for decades? You are just feeling "burnt" that you can't get your hands on a a great amoled display . Amoled is the king and no getting around that. Ever wondered why LG advertises thier OLED tv as the "best ever display" when they have lcd-led as well.

lol i can have any phone i want, i have had galaxy s2, s3 s6 and all of them had screen burn in which is unacceptable for a so called flaship, my job requires me to use my phone 24 *7 so amoled screens are not for me. plus it cant be king until the burn in and color degradation gets fix. right now the only king is lcd period.

G2 was the best LG phone so far, Still look more premium and cool design than G3 and G4... but this V10 is also very cool... looking better than G4... I am on it, removable battery and SD card, decent design, I am buying it... LG has cured my disappoinment of Note 5

Can we infer that since this event is in NYC, that this phone is actually going to make it to the US market? I actually prefer the looks of it over the LG G4, so if the price is similar, it could be quite interesting as an option. Still, I'm not sure how anyone expects to compete with the sheer value of the Moto X Pure (except maybe the Nexus 5X).

LG why you still sticking with the 808 Soc?

because Qualcomm screwed the pooch with the SD810. 2015 is the year of the 808 and the upper-midrange. Flagships without Exynos can just forget about it.

If the G4 Pro has removable battery and SD slot I really have no choice but to buy that since no other premium phone in the world right now has those features. I would have preferred a Samsung since I've owned the Galaxy S 1,2,3,4&5 and the Note 3 but Samsung have begun to morph into Apple going style over substance and honestly I really don't care about premium materials as all I want is every conceivable feature packed into my phone.

Specs look identical to the G4 with a .2 larger screen, I don't get what the point of the phone is. Seems like it will have to have something unique when they announce it.
