LG G7 ThinQ picks up major update at Verizon, gets Google AR Stickers
If you've picked up an LG G7 ThinQ from Verizon, you'll be happy to know that there's a new update available for your phone, which brings a couple of camera improvements and a handful of new features.

Let's start by talking about the security changes included in the update. According to Verizon, LG G7 ThinQ users will be getting the July security patch along with the update, which isn't really something out of the ordinary.

As far as the camera improvements go, LG G7 ThinQ owners can use the Auto button to manually select a scene category instead of waiting for the phone to pick one. Also, you'll be able to manually select any subject that doesn't match one of the 19 pre-set scene categories.

Another change concerns the home screen and is meant to make application names slightly enlarged for easier readability by increasing the font size. Furthermore, a custom setting is now available for the Equalizer, you can find it in the Setting / Sound / Sound quality and effects / Equalizer. Obviously, you can also access the menu from the Music app's playback screen.

The weather time format has been updated to reflect the time format saved in system setting. There are also more Calendar options for a new event like syncing it with an existing photo, file, or task.

Last but not least, LG G7 ThinQ users are getting Google AR Stickers, which means the camera will now support “AR Sticker” mode.
