Image of dual SIM trays confirms microSD features for some Samsung Galaxy Note 5 models (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Alternative sources point out that the device in the picture strongly resembles the dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy A8, due to the identical placement of the slots. Well, we guess we shouldn't get too excited over these allegedly "leaked" photos then.

We are mere hours away from the Samsung Unpacked event that is expected to include the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. For weeks now, we have been going back and forth about whether or not there will be a microSD slot available for the Galaxy Note 5. With Samsung removing the feature from the Samsung Galaxy S6, there were plenty of fears that the same thing would happen to the next iteration of Sammy's high-end phablet.

Before we continue, we do suggest that you take this with a grain of salt. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 should be made official later today, what we are going to show you is still speculation for the time being.

A leaked photo of what is alleged to be the Galaxy Note 5 shows a Hybrid dual SIM set up. The photo comes from ePrice and shows that the SIM2 tray doubles as a microSD slot. How do we know that? Because the microSD logo is stamped right on the hardware.

When earlier rumors speculated that the Galaxy Note 5 would hit the market sans expandable storage, many of you mentally crossed the phone off of your buy list. But now it would appear that expandable storage will be a feature of the dual SIM version of the new model. By the way, if you're wondering why the microSD slot is on the left side of the phone, it is because the S Pen is housed on the right side.

Stay with us all day as two of the most eagerly awaited handsets finally see the light of day!

Thanks for the tip!
