HTC's rumored Nexus handsets are codenamed T50 and T55?

According to the developer, who has provided a number of accurate tips on HTC in the past, the 5-inch Nexus phone is codenamed the T50 and the 5.5-inch model is the T55. Obviously, the codenames are derived from the screen size of each unit.
The Nexus One, the first Nexus device manufactured, was produced by HTC back in 2010. The company is also responsible for 2014's Nexus 9 tablet. Last year, two new Nexus phones were launched. LG released the Nexus 5X and Huawei delivered the Nexus 6P.
Thanks for the tip!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? If true, this may get interesting. HTC made the first Nexus and the very first Android phone so I'm certainly interested.

My sentimental-favorite phone (Nexus) and my sentimental-favorite company (HTC) together again (I don't count the sh*t-show that the Nexus 9 ended up being...) I will definitely get one (or both) of these if the rumor pans out and they don't completely suck (and HTC is still actually in business.)

If I get a 5"-5.2" inch phone with +64Gb storage then I'm fine with it, I skipped 5X cause of the storage.

I passed on the 6P because of the reuction in sreen while keeping close to the same size in length with merely a marginal screen improvement. The bezels on that thig is rediculous. The Nexus 6P with a lack lustre screen brightness is an achilles heel in my opinion. This screen size is now even smaller....why not keep it 5.7 and 5.2....wtf. Now I will not buy this if it is 5.5....I do expect dual speakers from HTC thats all that will be good outside of exceptional design. I like the Google software, but I am getting tired of their insonsistency in continuation with their product. I am no iPhone lover, but their product line is more consitent, and not all over the place from one year to the next Design wise. I guess it might be time to go "BACK" to Samsung, and deal with slower updates, and short lived software support. I may have to hold on to my Nexus 6. and OG Nexus 5 a lil longer...........uuuuuuggggggggggghhhhhh! I would love to see a 5.7" HTC nexus....please

I'm interested in the 5.5" version. The specs I'm hoping for:- *5.5" 2K OLED display. *Snapdragon 820 or hopefully by Oct/Nov QC release an upgraded version ie. 821 or 825. *4GB LPDDR4 RAM. *Under the display Qualcomm Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. *OIS. *USB 3.1 gen2 *Wireless charging and quick charge.

SD820 pushing only 1080p would be an amazing performer, and OLED FTW! And hells to the yes for wireless charging. WTF was LG thinking with the new Nexuses (Nexii?). *shakes fist* I want the 5", though. I still fondly remember the design and build quality (though not the battery life) of my HTC EVO 4G, with built-in kickstand - that was an amazing feature that I'm sorry didn't catch on in the industry.
