HTC Vertex tablet leaks, prepare for some quad-core Tegra 3 goodness
HTC has been relatively quiet in the tablet space, with its only two attempts until now being the Flyer (EVO View 4G for Sprint) and the Jetstream for AT&T, both of which weren't really big success stories. However, it seems HTC isn't the type of company that will just accept the defeat and give up.
Apparently, a new tablet by the name of HTC Vertex is being worked on, as indicated by some bits of info found on two benchmark tests - Nenamark 2 and Antutu. According to the little information that's available, the device is expected to pack a 10.1" display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, as well as a lively quad-core Tegra 3 processor. Other details include 2MP rear / 1.3MP FF cameras, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.
We want to make it absolutely clear here that these specs might not be final, and the actual device that will eventually get announced may be a lot different. Also, we really hope that if the Vertex doesn't come out soon, it'll come with Jelly Bean, rather than ICS.
