HTC One E9 to be released next month in China, pricing unknown
Reports out of China suggest that the HTC One E9 will be released next month in the country. Sporting a 5.5-inch screen, the One E9 doesn't come with the 1440 x 2560 resolution QHD glass found on the HTC One E9+. Nor does it feature the 1080 x 1920 FHD screen found on the HTC One M9. Instead, the HTC One E9 comes with a 720 x 1280 HD display.

An octa-core 1.5GHz CPU drives the handset, which features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A 13MP camera adorns the back of the phone, and the 4MP Ultrapixel camera once found on the back of the HTC One (M7) and HTC One (M8), is relegated to the front of the One E9. Android 5.0 is pre-installed.

The HTC One E9 is obviously designed for a different crowd than the HTC One E9+. Besides the higher resolution screen on the latter, the E9+ features a 20MP rear-facing camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. It also has 3GB of RAM.

We should soon hear about a specific release date for the HTC One E9, followed by the price. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the tip!

another htc phone with ugly black bars. They will always struggle with there sales, If they can't find a way to get rid of these bars. at least that's one of the reason why I didn't buy M9. wake up htc this is 2015. learn something from Lg

China is dominated by Chinese brands. I don't understand why HTC keeps releasing so many similar high-end devices there. The world has only the One M9 which is in many aspects inferior to even their M8. Guess I have to keep my M8 a while longer.

you should upgrade. I had an m8 and now have the m9, it's worth the upgrade. The only thing I felt downgraded was the screen but other than that the camera, battery life is ok

The camera just sometimes take better pictures than the M8. Though low resolution, M8 pictures quality are more consistent. Battery life is measured to be worse than the M8 according to Gsmarena. The M9 is also slower than the M8 in apps loading and multitasking because of the underclocked SN810 but only when put together. M9 is still fast and fluid. I have had the M8 for about 2 months now and compared it really extensively to the M9 I experienced a retail store. Also the M9 is thicker and a tad wider which makes M8 easier to hold IMO. All that makes the M9 not worth the price IMO when I have had a brand new M8 for 2 months now at just 1/3 of the official M9 price where I live.

Nope Don't. M8 is the best phone HTC has ever made. M8 is better than M9.

According to my experience, sad to agree that the M8 is better than the M9 esspecially considering the big difference in price.
