Google Pixel XL unboxing and first look

We've finally succeeded to lay our grubby mitts on Google's latest pride and glory - the Google Pixel XL

As usual, we wouldn't dare unbox this hot new phone without sharing the moment with you - if you're anything like us, unboxing new gadgets is one of life's greatest pleasures.

The Pixel XL certainly has a tough job ahead of itself, and that's convincing just about anyone it's a worthy successor to the great Nexus phones we've been treated over the past few years. Sometimes you need to simply embrace change in order to move on, but it remains to be seen if the Pixel XL is just the embrace we need right now.

Anyway, we won't stand in the way of the Pixel XL unboxing you've been promised. Without further ado, let's see what's in the box!

That is one beautiful phone. The first it was released I thought it's a lil bit ugly but the design is actually really beautiful.

Those white nav buttons are prone to burn-in mattter of months I think. Browse in full screen to avoid theses issues is my advice.

I was really looking forward to this phone untill I realised two key features were missing: The phone is not IP rated considering that is a trending feature in high end phones. There is not an external card slot. Granted, I understand that they want to promote their cloud based service, but that was always a feature that made Android and their phones more appealing than their Apple counterparts. Disappointing, hopefully on thier next phone they will have either implemented said features or have new ones that make us forgive their ommission. I will continue to look for a Note 7 alternative elsewhere.

The amount of S7 thats got water damaged and warranty dont cover prove this is only thats a tending a useless one at it if not fully covered by the warranty. Google never implimented SD card on any nexus. They are going for security and sd card can be an issue on thats end. I do agree i would liked to have it but cant have everything..
