Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL show up in both black and white in 'really official' renders
When it rains, it pours. The old saying applies to both high-end smartphone announcements scheduled for next month and high-quality images of said devices leaked today by WinFuture’s always reliable Roland Quandt.

Of course, unlike those fresh Huawei Mate 20 Pro renders, which helped answer a number of outstanding questions, clearing some confusion and revealing three nifty color options, the latest batch of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL pictures largely falls into the “more of the same” category.

But both Google-made handsets are shown from every possible angle in what Quandt describes as “really official press pics”, which is definitely a special treat for Android purists. Even better, we get to check out the two unreleased phones in both black and white variants.

There’s good news for notch haters too, although the dreamy Pixel Ultra looks set to remain just that - a completely unrealistic dream. If you despise screen cutouts, you’ll have to make do with a 5.5-inch “regular” Pixel 3 sporting fairly chunky bezels.

Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 3 XL is practically etched in stone now as a 6.2-inch giant with an unusually large notch purportedly accommodating a loudspeaker, as well as proximity and ambient light sensors, in addition to a dual selfie camera setup.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL are expected to share 8 + 8MP front-facing shooters, which means the bigger model will need to find other ways to stand out and justify a no doubt higher price point.

The already iconic two-tone design of the Pixel family will be made even flashier on this year’s white versions with the help of green accents, while another interesting cosmetic detail are the smoother edges of the Pixel 3 compared to a 3 XL that simply looks... rushed.

Under the hood, expect the two to share a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB RAM, and “at least” 64GB storage space, with 128 gig configurations also in the pipeline. The glass-and-metal phones will naturally run Android 9.0 Pie out the box following a formal October 9 introduction, while snubbing recent photography trends to stick with one (presumably great) rear-facing camera.
