Huawei Mate 20 Pro appears in official renders, three color options revealed
Following countless leaks which have included hands-on images and case renders, today official renders of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro have finally appeared online confirming the final design and three official colors.

Coinciding with virtually all previous information, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro follows in the footsteps of Samsung’s most recent flagships by introducing a new 6.3-inch curved edge AMOLED display. Unlike devices from the latter company, though, Huawei’s offering sports extremely thin side bezels and a relatively small chin. Moreover, the traditional top bezel has been swapped out for a new notch which is home to a front-facing camera, the in-ear speaker, and a new Face ID-like technology. While on the topic of security, it’s also worth noting that an in-display fingerprint scanner is reportedly on board.

Moving over to the rear, the glass has been curved slightly towards the edges in order to provide a more comfortable feel. Additionally, the panel is dominated by a large square-shaped camera module in the middle which is home to three rear sensors and a dual-tone LED flash. Also, just like Huawei’s other premium devices, Leica branding is present too. Elsewhere on the smartphone, a red-colored power button is included on the frame.

When it comes to the internal side of things, Huawei’s new Kirin 980 will be included alongside a minimum of 6GB of RAM. This is then expected to be coupled with 128GB of non-expandable storage. When it comes to the battery, a 4,200mAh pack has been rumored and should make an appearance alongside support for both wired and wireless fast charging. Lastly, completing the setup will be Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.

As confirmed by Huawei, the Mate 20 Pro will make its first official appearance on October 16 in London alongside the regular Mate 20 and the new FreeBuds 2 Pro. Sales should commence by the end of the month and, as revealed by these images, the smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and Twilight options. However, a green variant is reportedly in the works too.
