Deal: Apple HomePod is $100 cheaper at Best Buy
Apple's HomePod had no chance against Google's much cheaper Home smart speakers, most likely due to the higher price. Deals on Apple's HomePod have been pretty frequent in the last couple of months, but the smart speaker's price hasn't yet dropped below the $200 mark.

Apple is still selling the HomePod for $350 on its official store, but many U.S. retailers offer decent discounts on the smart speakers. At the moment, Apple HomePod is $100 cheaper at Best Buy, in either black or white colors.

Along with the $100 discount, Best Buy also offers free Apple Music for 3 months to everyone who buys the HomePod. The only requirement is that you must be a new subscriber. Free shipping is available as well, but you can also choose to pick it up from the nearest Best Buy store.

The HomePod is powered by Apple's Siri, which, in our experience, pales in comparison to Google Assistant's reach with the various Google Home speakers available on the market. If you haven't decided whether or not to go for Apple's smart speaker, you can learn more about it in our HomePod review.

"...most likely due to the higher price". - ?? 1) Yes...very over priced. 2) Only compatible with iPhones, so no chance of generating new customers to the brand. 3) Siri is the least capable assistant anywhere on the market. It was doomed to fail.

I believe Apple is giving up on their HomePods. Especially since Apple has recently made their Apple music available for Amazon Alexa devices That was the only thing a HomePod could play via voice. You can just buy a $30 Amazon echo and now play Apple's music, as well as do a lot more than any HomePod. It even allows Bluetooth and has an aux port. All of which is missing from that overpriced POS HomePod. Only a die hard sucker would buy the HomePods.
