Could this comic by a Google employee confirm that the next Android will be Key Lime Pie?
After Android 4.1 Jelly Bean we were all looking forward to seeing the next version of Android, and all expected it to be called Key Lime Pie. Instead we got Android 4.2, and it was a new flavor of Jelly Bean, but no change in the name.

Now, it seems that we finally have as close to an official confirmation as it gets - a Google employee posted a comic timeline of Android versions and the last Android in the evolution line holds a lime pie! The Google employee is Manu Cornet, and there is no other way to interpret this as if he is thinking the next Android will be Key Lime Pie.

It’s not 100% certain, though. There is no reason for Google not to decide to change the name in the last minute, but chances are it won’t and Key Lime Pie will be the name of the next Android version.

And now that we have it, what would you like to see improve in the next Android? And would it be big enough to become Android 5.0, or 4.3?

Android 6.0 marshmallow?

I think it will be Android 5.0, this will be unification of Android and Chrome OS. Android will expand to low end PC powered by 8-core CPUs.

Honeycomb should have had Andy falling down but getting back up with ICS. Such a disappointment, even if it was the basis for the later versions.

I'm wondering how they're gonna call the next flavour, Lattice Topped Blueberry Pie or Love Beats Bread Toast or Linzer Cookie or Lychee Ice-cream perhaps? Linzer Cookie sound good to me, and they taste gooood. They shouldn't put the word "Lemon" again.

Its OK. Android absolutely destroying iOS in customer choice doesn't invalidate your choice. Think of yourself as a maverick, who has to be different just for the sake of it. Like Björk. No need to be so angered about it. And hey, maybe ina few more iterations, iOS will have all the features that ICS had.

CRAPDROID destroying IOS haaa, is like Fandroids predictions of Apple sales going down when Ipad Mini sold out everywhere, Ipad and Iphone selling by millions so where is Android crushing IOS......??? BTW you can't tell me anything about Android cuz I tried and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Lags, Freezes, Crashes, updates take forever so any Fandroid who says this is not true is living on total denial, the only one positive of Android is the open source and that's it, even with quadcores procesor and twice the power...the Iphone 5 beat the best Android available Google haven't solved their FRAGMENTED ecosystem there's too many hands baking the cake and is a mess that's the reality like it or not.....!!!!!!

And Ios have the same boring grid no customization just a extra ROW (WOW) so excited (SARCASM) NOT. and it doesn't have widgets

Why first version of android was called 'cup cake'.........???? According to alphabetical order shouldn't it be something starting with 'A'.....??? Like 'Apple' for android 1.0 and 'Blackberry' for next version...........
