Complete list of HTC One M9 specs and accessories leaks: 5" display, larger battery

Complete list of HTC One M9 specs and accessories leaks: 5
Rumors about the HTC One M9 "Hima" are reaching crescendo mode, with the handset claimed to sport a Snapdragon 810 chipset, and an improved camera on the back, as hinted by the huge camera opening in the recent leaks. The BoomSound stereo speakers have eventually been slimmed and pushed to the edges for an overall more stylish and compact look, too. Well, the phones alleged full specs list was just outed by a fairly prominent leakster account, and those who were expecting a Quad HD display might be in for a surprise.

The HTC One (M9) will supposedly have a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 810 chipset indeed, clocked at 2.0 GHz, and aided by 3 GB of the best RAM there is - DDR4. When it comes to the display, however a 5" panel with "only" a 1080p resolution is listed, so things won't change much from the current edition in that respect.

What's changing, however, is arguably the HTC flagships' weakest spot - the camera resolution - as the new One M9 is said to arrive with a 20.7 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and a 4 MP UltraPixel shooter in the front. A 2840 mAh battery is said to power all that jazz, and we can't say we are disappointed by the screen resolution, given the battery capacity, as we will probably get plenty of screen-on time with a juicer that is larger than the one on the M8. The One M9 will allegedly come in 32 GB and 64 GB internal storage versions, and run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, with a new Sense 7.0 sprinkled on top.

The source pegs three variations of the One (M9) for release. UHL will be the model for Asia, Europe, Africa, UAE, Russia, Turkey, China(Mainland), USA(include AT&T, T-Mobile US, and Developer model), Canada(include ROGERS, TELUS) and Latin America. WHL will be destined for Sprint and China Telecom, while the sole WL is slated for Verizon. There will be new official accessories, too, here's their full scoop:

We recently showed you how an alleged golden version of the One M9 could look like with a leaked chassis, and the same glitzy handset was snapped from another angle, shown wrapped in the new Dot View case model from HTC. Style is not the name for the two new colors that the inventive HTC Dot View case line will receive with the launch of the HTC One M9, as these are said to be yellow and turquoise, but there will also be the more traditional black color as you can see in the leaked pictures below.

I was hoping for a 5.2" screen, but maybe there is some truth to that M9 Max (Ultra?) rumor. Battery life should be amazing on this phone!!

IMHO screen size and resolution race should finally stop and OEMs should focus on more important stuff like color accuracy, cameras, battery life... instead.

If what this article reveals is true, and these specs hold, especially the 1080 5" screen, this will be my next device. The design looks brilliant!

Putting small screens in big bodies should stop sooner imho.

Agreed. While LG was going all-out with QHD, almost-phablet 5.5" G3, Samsung and HTC nailed down the perfect size. Looks like this year they'll both work on refining it. Plenty of us just want a right-size phone with a bright, colorful, sharp (but efficient) screen.

5" and 1080 is more than sharp enough. I cant wait to see what HTC come up with.

Yeah, you are right... 1080p or qhd doesnt make much difference on a small screen. Qhd is battery hungry and 1080p is fair enough for any flagship below 6inch size.

M8 with a heavy skin flies as a nexus device with vanilla android. HTC is amazing in software optimization department. Something Samsung could learn from.

I don't see 2840mah get poor battery, probably as equal as my mi note or better since it's snap 810 and just 5inches.

Thats something you dont hear very often. Getting better performance with only 5" lol. Ok getting mind out of the gutter now

With 2840 mAh battery, it should not be thick more than 8mm. And with that buzel, M9 will be smaller than M8 (maybe M7?) while keeping the screen size the same, which is definitely a good thing. HTC really listen their customers. GL HTC

That's quite thick. Apple and sammy offer 7mm
