Cingular enriches its GoPhone service with new features

Cingular Wireless makes its prepaid GoPhone service even more feature-rich with the addition of three new add-on services, announced at this year's CTIA Wireless tradeshow. The new services, which can be added to the GoPhone "Pick Your Plan", are MEdia Net Features Package, Cingular World Connect and Voice Dial.

MEdia Net Features Package allows subscribers to retrieve online information on their mobile phones. It enables them to get access to news and entertainment headlines, sports scores, financial quotes, local weather, etc. just by a click of a button or two on their handsets. Moreover, customers will be allowed to add categories and headlines on their home page. Four of these packages are available for as low as $4.99 a month.

Cingular WorldConnect offers customers discounted international calling rates against $3.99 a month.

VoiceDial, for $4.99 per month, provides consumers with an easy way to call their family and friends, just by speaking their name.
