BlackBerry opens pre-registrations for the Priv; dual curved edge screens confirmed

BlackBerry announced today that it is taking pre-registrations for the eagerly awaited BlackBerry Priv. The BlackBerry Priv pre-registration website actually confirms some of the device's specs, such as the Schneider-Kreuznach rear camera (expected to be 18MP with OIS), a 5.4-inch screen with dual curved edges, a 3410mAh battery, and the early warning DTEK system that gives you advance warning when your privacy has been compromised.

By registering with BlackBerry, you are merely letting them know about your interest in the phone. No money changes hands, and a unit of the device is not being reserved with your name on it. What you will receive is email containing the latest news about the phone, including when and where you will be able to pre-order it when the time comes. To pre-register, click on the sourcelink and fill in the blanks.

We should point out that the Priv pre-registration page also mentions that the phone will have both a physical and an on-screen QWERTY.  The BlackBerry Priv could be released as soon as next month, with a price tag above $600.
