Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada stop accepting Apple iPhone 5 pre-orders
Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 5 have been tremendous with even Apple "blown away" by the demand. And the demand for the 6th generation of the iPhone isn't limited to the United States. A pair of Canadian carriers, Bell and Virgin Mobile Canada have stopped taking reservations for the Apple iPhone 5, citing "overwhelming success" of the pre-order program in Bell's case and "huge demand" for the device at Virgin Mobile.

While pre-orders are sold out for both Canadian carriers, the phone will be available to be purchased online and in the operator's retail locations on September 21st when the Apple iPhone 5 launches. In the U.S., the three major carriers carrying the phone have already sold out of the inventory set aside for pre-orders and there is a 2-3 week delay for those reserving the phone in the states.
The early indications are that the Apple iPhone 5 is going to easily trash the numbers put up last year by the Apple iPhone 4S.
