Are you excited about the prospect of a high-end Microsoft Lumia with Windows 10?
We've known for a while now that Microsoft is holding back on releasing a flagship Lumia device, the goal being to first get Windows 10 out of the gate and only then present to the world a killer device worthy of it. As you can imagine, this has meant quite the drought for Windows Phone lovers, and specifically those among us that prefer to save up for the big thing instead of settling for a lower end device.

With us being halfway through September now, and with Microsoft's supposed plan to release a number of new devices next month, including supposed flagship code-named Cityman. it's probably about time we got excited about the prospect of a Microsoft-directed Lumia flagship. Indeed, it'll definitely be interesting to see what the Redmond-based giant can work out under Satya Nadella's leadership.

Continuum and a high end phone could move me off of Android. There's an annoying disconnect between my phone and my Windows tablet and desktop. I can work around it but if MS can make it go away my wallet is waiting.

I would love to get a windows phone to merge between my windows PC. If they can nail the pureview camera with their famous 808/1020 quality with iPhone camera speeds and ease of use, then I am ready to ditch my loved Android phone for the first time in 6 years

same here, if they will make a great pureview camera with speed like S6 and G4 along with apps portability from android then I will ship to windows. But if they will price it equal to up coming LG G4 Pro then surely I buy LG G4 Pro

Do wish MS luck. This year I buying my first iPhone 6s Plus. With 2GB RAM and Right click feature i think its time to give iPhone a try, over buying a lack luster iPad Mini 4. Originally, i did save up for Note 5 to replace my Note 3 but alas, not keen on a bloatware ridden phone that go back on everything they used to believe. Wall hugger, expandable storage to removable battery to controlling the TV to water proofing their phone. In the end, Samsung just made an iPhone 6 clone.

I just hope that this wouldn't be the actual design of the phone And if what they claimed about windows store being filled with all the android and ios apps( if developers actually make apps) is true then I'm Certainly switching to WP.(currently using android)

They plan a phone by the time SD 820 is around probably with Intel soc.

Yep. I probably wouldn't expect an SD 820 until this time next year. In October we're going to see their flagships for their fans, which will be SD 810 based. In Spring of 2016 we will see their business phones, which will likely be Surface branded and based on new mobile Intel processors. Then the end of next year we will probably see a refresh of the flagships with the SD 820 chips. My guess at least, based on what info is out there so far.

Intrigued is a nice option. I like Android a lot, but wouldn't mind having a WP device as a companion. It would have to have a OIS camera with a great low light sensor though.

Do not worry then as even the Lumia 920 already has that. These new phones will not disappoint in the imaging department.

I hope so! S6 and G4 are already better than 930

I used to be but not anymore. The big players of Android has taken the game leaps and bounds away from anything apple and Microsoft can put out. Their rather dormant status in the flagship market is to be blamed for the lack of interest among users

Wp lack "play apps" like games, but it is way ahead android in productivity. For example There are more than 10 very good video editors in wp store while android has average video editors.

While you may have a small point as I'm a Windows Phone fan, you can't even compare anything in the Windows Store to the very excellent VivaVideo app in the Play store.

Android is so widely used that there is app for my 3D printer. iOS version is just out and that about it. You can't really ignore Android platform nowadays much like you can't ignore Windows desktop in the 90's and earlier part of 2000.

whats the point of having all the high end specs when you do not have nice apps or games to take advantage of it.

I would have actually tried windows phone long ago but the lack of apps does keep me waiting. (Not trolling). I like overall WP and I use a PC at home which would be a bonus when it comes to interoperability.

Yes i can't wait, because my 1520 died after it was laying in a bucket of seawater for 2 hours :( But if i am honest the 950 and 950Xl doesn't look that good, if the pictures are correct (rumors) The bezels are huge and the design not that nice, my 1520 looks way better! So MS better come with an awsome design!

No doubt this will be like another outdated mid range spec with sky rocket price in Micro"Soft" style... Until and unless they get some pro features, stylus use and multitasking...

Dude, are you ever use windows phone device? There is multitaskingmultitasking on windows and imo is better than iOS. I tried iPhone and didn't like it (no trolling). Used also Andriod before, but this heavy unoptimized system is not for me. I use browser, e-mails, chat apps and some games, but not battle or racing games. Windows always performs smooth and stable. I like windows phone 10 preview for developers, but the rumored design of 950 and 950XL is so ugly. I really hope to make evolution of 930 design, without protruding hub like this ones. Even if the phone is 8-9mm thick. Will see...

i am using lumia 930, which usually get hot,my daily runner is ip6, mean time i just buy few phones to try there features. The ease with which i can take off all app permission etc, i couldnt fine in any OS... iphone is not for brain stormer, it is simple and straight forward.. this is just my openion. What i want to say is that microsoft is having hell lot of potential to bring ground breaking tech to mobile phones... But i wonder why they are restraining from it...

I am interested to buy Lumia 940XL as my six months upgrade cycle. But I am not interested to buy Lumia 940XL in the same price range of LG G4 Pro. It doesnt make sense to pay high for a device which doesnt have much apps and games. It's upto microsoft that how they want to price their phones. In my openion they need to get as many customers as possible to start using windows 10 and this is only possible if they will sell 940 and 940XL in a very low profit.

Well since Nokia C1 leaked I've become less excited with Lumias. However, I do hope Windows Phone will be a solid OS to jump into in case Android go haywire.

What exactly is exciting about a phone with Nokia logo(maded by Chinese)?

Nostalgia. Brand loyalty. The true believers don't accept that MS bought the handset division with all that hardware and design expertise. I may not like MS, but I believe this is the true Nokia Lumia successor.
