Apple releases iOS 8.3 for all iOS 8 powered devices

Today, Apple has officially rolled out iOS 8.3 to the Apple iPhone 4s , Apple iPhone 5, Apple iPhone 5c, Apple iPhone 5s, Apple iPhone 6 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. All Apple iPad models except for the OG version of the slate will receive iOS 8.3, as will the fifth-generation Apple iPod touch. Some of the improvements, according to Apple, include a boost in performance that allows apps to open faster.

Other areas of iOS that users should notice an performance boost in will include Wi-Fi, Safari tabs, third party keyboards, Messages, keyboard shortcuts, the simplified Chinese keyboard and the Control Center. The emoji keyboard also is the subject of some changes as iOS 8.3 improves the emoji picker, offers 300 new emoji choices and adds more skin-tone options to emojis that are supposed to represent people.

The new iOS build also makes some repairs to issues that affect screen rotation, CarPlay, Wi-Fi, Messages and more. Be on the look out for the notification that tells you that iOS 8.3 has hit your device. By the way, iOS 8.4 is expected to include support for Apple's new streaming music feature. That might give iOS users something to look forward to.

Apple isn't the one creating the emojis. It just adds them whenever new ones get made.

Ok. I stand corrected. As you select a emoji person. It comes up what color you choose. My bad. I jumped the gun. Sorry for typos earlier. I typed this on my little iphone 5 as i

Oh and I was addressing this in my comment already lol, but yeah... I find the whole thing useless to be honest. I had no problem with them being the original yellow. They aid there are more emojis, but not really, it's the same emojis in different colors.

Welcome to the pussyfication of America lol. Nothing is politically correct anymore. Not even a dam emoji color. But I did notice that whatever emoji color you change to, it stays that way on the keyboard. So if you make them all say, white, they'll stay white.

An update where only needing to fix emojis is a good thing.

They didn't fix emojis. They just added more options. Troll much?

Still rocking 7.1.2 on my iPad 2 and it's still fast as lightning.

Same here. Shocking considering the iPad 2 is pretty damn old. The reason why I haven't purchased a new tablet in for ever. (I won a G Note 10.1 from Verizon using my points but quickly sold it on Ebay lol).

(late edit: because of a quick $buck$ i could make, not because its a bad tablet)

I regret updating my 4S and Air to iOS8. Maybe on iPad it isn't such a big deal cause it's still powerful, but my brother still has 7.1.2 on 4S and this thing is blazing fast, comparable speed to 5S on 8.1.2

Like I stated before in this post, I wonder how many bugs this update will bring? Guess I didn't have to wonder long. http://m.pocketnow.com/2015/04/09/ios-8-3-touch-id-issues

Pretty much the only thing I miss about the switch from iPhone to my Galaxy Note 4. Apple updates are available on all recent devices pretty much immediately, While I still wait for my Android 5.0? update on Note 4... I'm not going back to iOS (because the interface feels like it hasn't changed from my 3GS) but my next Andoid phone will be from the company that's best known for fast updates - so it could be nexus, but I may have the patience for Sony because xperias are also sweet phones - as they're still much better than Samsung in the update department. Cant understand how such a wealthy company like Samsung can take so long and totally ignore how much consumers appreciate fast updates. Shouldn't be more than 8 weeks after release imo. It's now April, still no update...
