Apple iPhone owners can finally use the Pebble Time as iOS app gets published
iPhone owners can finally use the Pebble Time smartwatch that they've previously backed on KickStarter.

The news comes as the iOS companion app for the smartwatch was finally published today in Apple's App Store. The smartwatch started shipping on May 27th for those who've backed Pebble's record-breaking Kickstarter campaign, but for iPhone users, it was virtually useful in the absence of the companion app.

A couple of days ago, we told you that the Pebble issued a statement on its KickStarter campaign page in which the company pointed at Apple for not publishing the Pebble Time companion in the App Store. In the statement, Pebble urged its users to pressure Apple into expediting the app's appearance in the App Store. Although not directly, the statement also seemed to blame Apple for intentionally delaying the process.

In the meantime, the media turned its attention to the issue, and it looks like all this pressure has finally paid off for Pebble, as the iOS companion app for the Pebble Time was finally published today in the App Store by Apple.

In a new statement, also published on the Pebble Time Kickstarter page, Pebble thanks its customers for reaching out to Apple in large numbers. Interestingly, the company is also appreciative of Apple's "attentiveness to the [iOS] community". Head on to the source link below to download the iOS companion app for the Pebble Time.
