Apple iPad case manufacturer expects 5th-generation slate to be unveiled next week
U.S. accessory manufacturer Hard Candy Cases has already introduced two cases for the fifth-generation Apple iPad. The company says that it expects to see the tablet unveiled during the keynote speech during the June 10th opening of the annual WWDC developer conference. The two cases are called the ShockDrop and the Squish which can be pre-ordered at $35 and $50 respectively.

The cases do appear to match what is expected from the next 9.7 inch Apple slate including thinner bezels, but there is a question as to the timing of the tablet's introduction. Other reports say that the fifth-generation iPad will start mass production this month or next, and be introduced in September. Next week, we expect that the WWDC buzz will be all about the redesigned UI of iOS 7.

Both cases ship on June 12th. The ShockDrop is available in black or black/red while the Squish is available in black, pink, lime or blue. Hard Candy Cases says that it is confident that the cases will fit, but if they don't, they will be replaced by ones that do.
