Apple Online Store will update you on your order status via text messages
After being down for nearly six hours, the Apple Store is back up and it features a brand new notification system for your orders bringing you updates via text messages to your phone.
The new system is called Apple Notifications and if you opt for it, it’d send you text messages about order updates from 8am to 9pm local time. Stopping it is easy - you just have to reply to one of the messages with the word “STOP.”
“Apple Notifications is a text-message-based alerts service designed to keep you up-to-date on your shipment and/or pickup notification status. In addition to standard email notifications, you can also request text message updates when you’re in Checkout. The number of messages you’ll receive will vary depending on the orders you placed,” Apple explained.
The texts from Apple will notify you when your order ships or when you can pick it up, and this definitely makes it even easier to shop for iOS devices online. Will you be using the new system?
