Android Lollipop update for the LG G2 mini now rolling out in Europe

Android Lollipop update for the LG G2 mini now rolling out in Europe
The LG G2 mini has been around since February 2014, initially running Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The handset is now getting a taste of Android Lollipop in some European countries, including Hungary, where, according to a video posted this week on YouTube, the G2 mini received an official update to Android 5.0.2.

TechValue has it that the update is also being rolled out in Greece (with LG Greece previously confirming that Lollipop for the G2 mini would be available this month), while other users are reporting that the update is live in Romania and Lithuania, too.

Apparently, the Lollipop update improves battery life on the G2 mini, adding about 3 hours to its usage time.

We weren't particularly impressed with the LG G2 mini when we reviewed it last year, but many users probably like the handset anyway. Sporting a 4.7-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels, the G2 mini looks a lot like the larger LG G2, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. The smartphone also features an 8 MP rear camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable internal memory, and a 2440 mAh battery.
