While we have been getting invitations for a Sony event at the IFA expo next week, nobody could say for sure if the Xperia Z5 would indeed make a cameo so soon after the Z4/Z3+ release. While we wait, a placeholder Sony Georgia Facebook account has posted a couple of colorful cases, claimed to be for the Z5, hinting that the phone will likely keep the general shape and appearance of Sony's flagship Z-series, you can take a look at them below.
IMX230 sensor from Sony will be present. While the IMX230 part is not hard to believe for the next Sony flagship (the Xperia M5 has it, after all), the Z5 Prime tip is most likely a hoax. This account is also claiming that there will be three new phones from Sony at IFA - a Z5 with 1080p display, a Z5 Compact with a 4.6" 720p panel, and a Z5 Prime with a 5.5" 2160p UltraHD display. It also says that Sony will outfit the three phones with a 20 MP+ camera with 0.1s autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, and phase detection autofocus, indicating the newest
The only 5.5" 4K display so far has been announced by Sharp back in the spring, while Sony is part of the Japan Display joint-venture, which doesn't have such an 800+ppi screen in its portfolio just yet. In any case, September 2nd is next week, and we will be relaying all the Sony festivities from the IFA 2015 expo.

- Camera 23 MP / 5 MP front

They wont be doing 4K, that claim is bulls**t, as is the compact only having a 720p screen. We'll get a compact with a 1080p screen and a Z5 with a 1440p.

Pretty sure there wont be 4k, only 2k for Z5Prime version, 1080p Z5 and 720p Z5C. If Z5C comes with 820 SD and 720p it will be great perfomance phone.

Looks like the the Z5 Prime will steal the show, instead of the protagonist Z5. Looking forward to the Z5 Prime, but remember, one Snapdragon 810 will ruin everything. Once there's Snapdragon 810, it will be a big no for me.

4k displays are fine as long as the technology, SOC, and battery is ready for it. Eventually we will be able to wirelessly connect or mobile phones to 4k monitors or 4k tvs to get work done anyways. Might as well start now and keep it consistently 4k across all devices. But they should probably wait until you can record more than 5 minutes of 4k video before the Camera burns out before going 4k on everything else. Haha
