Alleged Note 7 filmed in rogue screen protector testing video

That Note 7 unit that has been making the rounds next to a stack of glass screen protectors for the curved display, has now been captured on video for our viewing pleasure. Granted, the footage is grainy, low quality, and in the dreaded portrait format, with the usual low-res we are accustomed to see scaled for sharing on Chinese social networks and chat apps, but it may be the first appearance of a rogue Note 7 on video, so it's worth paying attention to.

What the video itself basically looks like, is just that a screen protector maker is testing their wares on the unsuspecting Note 7-looking handset, which may or may not be a finalized version. The guy in the clip is apparently testing the protector for touchscreen responsiveness after applying, and it seems to do the job fine.

The only way we can deduce it's the real deal is from tangential evidence, like the curved display, the largish size, and the openings on the right of the earpiece, which are rumored to be for iris scanner biometrics. In any case, if nothing else, we can now sleep tight knowing that there might be screen protectors for that precious 5.7" curved panel from the get-go, which is good news, as those suckers are pretty expensive to replace.
