7-Eleven to offer own pre-paid wireless service

The Speak-Out plan will offer 20 cents-per-minute rate days, nights and weekends and will include domestic, long distance and on-network roaming. In addition, the plan will offer 120-day airtime balance expiration.
The customers will not have to sign long-term contracts. It is perfect for kids, adults and senior citizens who want an active phone for infrequent usage.
Customers can purchase either a Nokia 3560 handset with color screen for $89.99 (after the $50 rebate) or the less expensive Nokia 2260 for $49.99 (after the $50 rebate).
7-Eleven Speak Out wireless refill cards are available in various dominations ($25, $50, $75 and $100) only at participating 7-Eleven stores. The starter package also includes 50 minutes of free nationwide airtime (a $10 value). The service will include all the features that today's wireless consumers have come to expect, such as Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Three-Way Calling and Text Messaging (at 10 cents per message). The program also offers cost-effective international calling to more than 200 countries around the world (example: calls to Canada and Mexico are 39 cents a minute).
