5.9" Pantech Vega Note coming October 10 to beg for legal attention with stylus and fingerprint scanner

Pantech is apparently prepping to unveil another phablet, dubbed the Vega Note. This time we'll get a 5.9" Full HD display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, fast LTE-A support, and Android 4.2.2.

Naming coincidence aside, Pantech seems to be begging for the attention of the big boys' legal departments, as the 5.9" phablet is said to come with a stylus and a fingerprint scanner. Korean media is speculating that the wax seal on the back in the launch promo poster is precisely such a sensor, since there is a fingerprint plastered over the promo piece as well.

Besides the Apple iPhone 5s, whose Touch ID scanner is embedded in the home key, we also have the Fujitsu Arrows A outed with a similar circular fingerprint sensor, but placed on the back, and the HTC One Max, whose rear scanner is square, rather than round. This will make the eventual Pantech Vega Note 5.9 phablet the third handset announced with those new fingerprint scanners, marking a trend that is likely to get more widespread.

Wannabe all over this.....Note 3 has many imposter's trying to get the consumers market. Naming it a note alone shows it's less than honorable integrity.

It doesn't matter, if they don't sell outside of Korea, they are an irrelevant entity seen as catching up to LG and Samsung.

I don't know about samsung right now. I just don't see as much buzz like in 2012. True they are still selling a lot of phones, but I see the honeymoon being over after this year. Sony, lg, htc, etc will eat into their market share in the coming years. Definitely watch out for htc. I see the htc one much like the galaxy S2. It got a lot of buzz, but it was the s3 that really put Sammy on the map. So, the One didn't have the big sales, but the message is out and people love it. If version 2 has the specs, the S5 will have a problem.

If they use the term 'Note', Samsung will sue the hell out of Pantech.
