Is T-Mobile about to revive the Sidekick with Android 2.3 and 4G?
Perhaps the Sidekick was ahead of its time when launched all those years ago, but time has caught up and T-Mobile is apparently ready to bring out the Sidekick 4G. While the manufacturer of the device is unknown, you can expect the new Sidekick will have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, display that twists, HSPA+ connectivity and Android 2.3 right out of the box.

During a "Town-Hall" type meeting with T-Mobile employees, a slideshow was presented all about the new Sidekick. The device is expected to come to market this spring which means if this is going to happen, we should start to see some corroborating evidence over the next few weeks.

Hopefully they change the design. Previous sidekicks were too large and bulky. They did have a superb keyboard though. As a person who despises physical qwerty's I did enjoy the sidekicks more than any other.

just because it carrys the sidekick brand name, doesnt mean its going to be a crappy teen phone. the sidekick rumors have been around for a while and they all point to a high end android device. basically, the screen spins out instead of slides, and thats how they are keeping the "sidekick" moniker on it. other than that, think 4 inch screen with full sized keyboard according to rumors. does that sound like a crap phone?
