Google Chromecast already a big hit in the UK and Norway, inventories reportedly sold out
Google announced that it is expanding the availability of the Chromecast media streaming dongle across Europe roughly a fortnight ago, and it looks like the device is already a big hit across several markets, such as the UK and Norway.

According to some retailers, the launch day of the gizmo was rather successful, as a single Chromecast got sold each 4.5 seconds in Currys, a popular store chain. This made the Chromecast's debut "one of the most successful launch days" both online and in brick and mortar stores recently. Some retailers even likened the dongle to the Apple iPad in terms of user interest.

This is not the first time the Chromecast proves that it's very successful – Google quickly sold out its inventories during the US launch of the gadget. The Mountain View giant also placed the Chromecast alongside with the Nexus 5 in the list of its best-selling and most successful devices.
